These Terms of Service govern your use of the Essence Life app, accessible at essencelife.app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What Essence Life Is
Essence Life is a personal practice companion for exploring surrender, forgiveness, and transcendence. From the home screen you can enter six core practices: the Daily Deep Dive, Essence Chat (a conversational reflection tool drawn from the Essence teachings), the Forgiveness Prayer, the Surrender Prayer, the daily Card Contemplation, and Cosmos. Together they support a daily rhythm of surrender, forgiveness, and expanding points of awareness.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use Essence Life. By agreeing to these terms, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use Essence Life for its intended purpose as a personal practice companion. You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to access other users' data, reverse-engineer the app, or use the app for any unlawful purpose.
Essence Conversations
Essence is an AI-powered reflection tool designed to support your spiritual practice. Essence draws from the Essence Life teachings to offer perspective and guidance. Essence is not a therapist, counselor, or medical professional. Essence's responses are generated by artificial intelligence and should not be treated as professional advice of any kind.
Content and Intellectual Property
All content within Essence Life, including but not limited to the forgiveness practices, surrender key teachings, transcendence card texts, podcast episodes, and guided meditations, is the intellectual property of Lars Rain Gustafsson. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially use this content without written permission.
Journal entries, notes, and personal data you create within the app remain yours.
Not Medical or Therapeutic Advice
Essence Life is provided strictly for informational, educational, and personal practice purposes. Nothing in this app constitutes medical advice, psychological treatment, therapy, or a substitute for professional healthcare. If you are experiencing a medical or psychological condition, please consult a qualified professional.
Meditation Safety
The app contains guided audio meditations and forgiveness prayers that require your full attention. Do not listen while driving, operating machinery, or performing any activity that requires your full awareness.
Cosmos Calculations
The Cosmos section of Essence Life presents calculations derived from astronomical positions, traditional Chinese metaphysics (Ba Zi), numerology, and indigenous wisdom traditions. These calculations are computed using verified astronomical data and established traditional formulas. They are offered as tools for self-reflection and spiritual exploration.
Cosmos calculations do not constitute medical, psychological, financial, or professional advice of any kind. They do not diagnose conditions, predict specific life outcomes, or make claims about your future. No decisions regarding health, finances, relationships, or legal matters should be based on information presented in the Cosmos section. The information reflects astronomical positions and traditional interpretive systems, not empirical assessments of your individual circumstances.
Data and Privacy
Your use of Essence Life is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. You can opt out of analytics and Essence conversation logging at any time in Settings.
Availability
We strive to keep Essence Life available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The app may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or updates. We are not liable for any loss resulting from downtime.
Termination
You may delete your account and all associated data at any time using the "Delete My Profile" option in Settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Limitation of Liability
Essence Life is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Your use of the practices and teachings is entirely voluntary and at your own discretion.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
